Spencer Dickhaus

Profile

Spencer Dickhaus is a freelance dancer, artist, rehearsal director, and dance teacher based in The Hague, Netherlands. He graduated from the Juilliard School in 2012 and subsequently spent seven seasons (2012-2019) as a member of the Nederlands Dans Theater. Since then, he has performed with the Hofesh Shechter Company and in works by choreographers Astrid Boons and Marina Mascarell. He teaches masterclasses and educational workshops for Arts Umbrella in Vancouver, the Nederlands Dans Theater, the Ballet of the Opera Lyon, Nuova Officina della Danza in Turin, and the Académie Princesse Grace. He has also served as a rehearsal director at the Nederlands Dans Theater. Spencer Dickhaus has created a series of solo works titled Practice I-III and recently toured the Netherlands with his latest work, Recess. He is an assistant to Crystal Pite and has staged her works at the Royal Opera House in London, Ballet Zurich, the National Ballet of Canada, and the Norwegian National Ballet Oslo.
