Stephen Galloway
Stephen Galloway works worldwide as a choreographer and creative consultant for image-makers and brands. In addition to his 25-year career as a performer in ballet and dance theatre, Galloway has been involved in various related fields such as costume design, fashion photography, magazine publishing, and the music industry. In 1997, he was invited as a creative consultant for Mick Jagger and has since continued to work as a consultant with the Rolling Stones on video productions, TV appearances, and concerts, including the Bridges of Babylon and Bigger Bang tours. He also collaborated on Martin Scorsese's 2008 documentary about the band, Shine a Light.
During his time at Ballett Frankfurt under the direction of William Forsythe, Galloway also collaborated with Jan Fabre, Christian Moeller, Jan Lauwers of Needcompany, and others. From 2000 until his departure in 2004, he served as the costume designer and style coordinator for Ballett Frankfurt. His designs were featured at the American Ballet Theatre, Mariinsky Ballet, Ballet de l'Opéra de Paris, Scottish Ballet, and the Finnish National Ballet.
Additionally, he directed fashion shows for design houses such as Yves Saint-Laurent, Costume National, Versace, and Issey Miyake, where he served as the creative director from 1993 to 1997. Furthermore, he worked as a consultant for luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz and Saab. Successes in Galloway's musical career include the release of the albums From This Day On (2002) and The Return of Lubrious (2009).
