Dell'Era Memorial Foundation

Antonietta Dell'Era Marsop was engaged as a «royal court dancer» at the Lindenoper in Berlin from 1879 to 1909. She also became a public favorite in St. Petersburg. In 1909, when she retired from the stage, she looked back on a fulfilled life as an artist. When she died in 1945, it was her wish that her estate would benefit dancers in need. 

For the implementation of this wish, the Stiftung Oper in Berlin set up a foundation: the Dell`Era-Gedächtnis-Stiftung. The purpose of the foundation is to support dancers or their families by assisting with living costs, by providing financial aids for professional trainings, re-trainings or for founding a business, or for medical and rehab treatments. In individual cases, the total costs for these measures might be paid for by the foundation.
