After a warm-up that prepares you for the various movement sequences and tempos, you will work on one of his well-known choreographies, which are characterised by his distinctive musicality, under the guidance of Nicholas Palmquist.
Nicholas Palmquist's method is a fusion of his global experience in the fields of fashion, TV/film, theatre and contemporary dance. Through his gentle approach to the dancers and the dance space, he creates a neutral space in which there is no right and wrong, in which each dancer can feel free and valuable. It is precisely this approach to teaching that has an impact on the result on stage, the film and the choreography. With this method, he is convinced that it is the process that brings the result to success.
The workshop is aimed at everyone aged 18 and over, amateur dancers and professional dancers alike, and is generally open to all dance levels. Previous knowledge of dance is therefore required, as is a love of movement and trying out new forms of movement. The workshop will take place on 12th April from 3:00 - 6:00 pm and on 13th April from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm in the ballet studios of the Staatsballett Berlin at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and costs 85 euros per person. The workshop will be held in English.
