Seven days of ballet en suite! In early summer, the Staatsballett invites you to a packed programme in two Berlin opera houses. With festive gala performances, highlights from the current repertoire, a special edition of Ballet Talk, workshops, as well as talks and exchanges with the artists, the Ballet Week offers an opportunity to immerse deeply into the world of professional dance.
And it is especially worthwhile with the TanzTicket: the season pass for 25/26 is already available at the Ballet Week, two months before the start of the new season, and offers a 20% discount on all performances.
Never before has there been such a large TanzTanz workshop: on May 25th, the ballet week starts with a TanzTanz Special XXL. All dance studios will be open to participants, who can wander from studio to studio like at a festival and choose their preferred workshops on the spot. Starting with a classical training session led by dance teachers and dancers from the Staatsballett Berlin, participants then choose two of the three dance workshops on offer, which focus on Ballet Week productions: a classical workshop on A Midsummer Night's Dream with Elinor Jagodnik, a neoclassical workshop on Winterreise with Kathlyn Pope or Bettina Thiel, and a contemporary workshop on Sharon Eyal's 2 Chapters Love with Weronika Frodyma, First Soloist of the Staatsballett. The workshops are framed by a joint warm-up and a yoga/Pilates cool-down.
TanzTanz Spezial XXL is aimed at amateur dancers aged 15 and over with at least 5 years of previous dance experience. The workshop takes place from 11.00 am to 4.30 pm and costs 55 euros per person, registration is required.
