Tomaž Premzl

graduated in multimedia production from the Academy in Maribor. Since 1996, he has worked as a lighting technician and designer at the Slovenian National Theatre Maribor, contributing to dance productions such as Swan Lake, Paquita, Home and Myth, The Golden Age, and Nanine’s Songs.
He has collaborated extensively with choreographer Edward Clug on works including Le Sacre du Printemps, Faun, Stabat Mater, Peer Gynt, Carmina Burana, Coppélia, The Master and Margarita, and Don Juan. Together, they have worked at renowned theatres and festivals such as the Vienna State Opera, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival (USA), the Stars of the White Nights Festival at the Mariinsky Theatre (St. Petersburg), the Festival of Firsts (Pittsburgh), the Arts Festival (Singapore), the Biarritz Festival (France), O Boticário di Dança (Brazil), the Festival des Arts de Saint-Sauveur (Canada), the Seoul International Dance Festival (Korea), Teatro alla Scala (Milan), the Dance Open Festival (St. Petersburg), the Latvian National Opera, the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Zurich Opera, and Basel Opera. His work has also toured extensively across the USA and Europe.
In 2014, he served as the lighting designer for Slovenia’s major state celebration of National Day, held in June at Congress Square in Ljubljana.
